Built by Bruce McQuiston of moto studio in Miami, Florida, this custom BMW R100RS (titled under VIN: M043706B6225180) is known as “Das Moto.”
The seller notes that the donor R100RS was in pristine condition before it was customized.
It was the subject of a feature on Pipeburn, and we highly recommend that you check out that article for more details. The builder states that “the objective of the build was to provide a practical platform for two-up operation, yet stay within the ‘design vocabulary’ of the previous Moto Studio builds in terms of engineering and aesthetics.” Please note that the tank has been changed since that 2018 story.
Highlights of the work include:
Custom swingarm, rearsets, and subframe, Sachs Formula Matrix shock.
Powdercoated wheels, exhaust, and frame.
Upgraded Dell’Orto 40mm carburetors.
Handmade headlight bracket, LED headlight, Motogadget tachometer and M-unit electronic system.
Handmade front fender bracket, carbon fiber front fender.

USD forks and Brembo front braking system from a Ducati 1098.

The seller acquired it from Orlando Harley-Davidson in June of 2018. The bike has approximately 20,000 miles, 314 of which came after the custom work was done.
