It has remained a California car and has been driven sparingly and maintained meticulously. At 7,478 miles, this Testarossa received a full engine-out service, including valve adjustment and all new belts. At that time the Ferrari was treated to a full concours level detail– leaving nothing untouched. The chassis was cleaned from tip to tail, bringing the underside back to its original Maranello Factory condition. This Testarossa is in spectacular original condition and has a recent major engine-out service. This example has to be the ultimate representation of any Ferrari Testarossa available. Two Keys! Yes. It’s a USA car. It was most recently sold from Bruce Canepa’s shop in Santa Cruz, California. It’s concours level and fully documented. And when I say fully documented, I mean fully documented. It’s only had three mechanics ever touch her. One was Tony Palladino. He was also the technical consultant for Forza magazine back in the day. The latest was Brian Crall. His credentials are well known in Ferrari circles. He is a national level concours judge, he was invited by Ferrari to judge at the 70th anniversary celebration concours at the Ferrari factory and he is also a board member of the International Advisory Council for the Preservation of the Ferrari Automobile (IAC/PFA). He rated my car as a Platinum award winner. A 99 out of 100 car (he deducted points for my non-OEM valve stem caps on the wheels. Hahah. He’s the mechanic I just spent 15,000 with to do the full engine out service including the Paul Newman rear differential carrier upgrade. There is no finer Testarossa mechanic in the US.
Introduced in 1984 as the successor to the Berlinetta Boxer, the Ferrari Testarossa was built until 1991. Built in November of 1990, this example is VIN: VIN:ZFFSG17A2L0087270. This Testarossa was originally sold in June 17th, 1991 by Ferrari of San Francisco. It was a California car until November of 2019, when the seller acquired it from Fortunauto 13 in Temecula, California (no longer in business). Since then he’s covered HOW MANY miles. The odometer now shows miles.
